In some countries people are no longer allowed to smoke in public places and office buildings do you think this is a good rule or a bad rule ? Use specific reasons and detail to support your opinion

It is being claimed that in some countries, smoking is banned in public places and workplaces. From my point of view, this is a suitable measure in terms of avoiding disease and increasing public health. To begin with, smokers not only hurt themselves by smoking but also put others' lives in danger. To put it differently, whenever someone is smoking a cigarette, it has a determinal effect on the people around them. An employee addicted to smoking will make their colleagues exposed to cigarette smoke, and they are more likely to suffer from hard-curable diseases like cancer, so no smoking in public places and offices is an effective way to prevent disease. Firstly, when people are banned from smoking in public places like beaches and parks, it benefits the environment because, in this case, smokers can't flip their cigarette butts in the streets. There was a smoking ban in my city until last year, but this year people are allowed to smoke in public environments, and we can see the cigarette waste all around the city damaging the environment. Secondly, smoking prohibition can make chain smokers quit because they are at work or they have to do the tasks out of the home, so they get used to not smoking. Imagine a person who is used to smoking, but if they are deprived of it, they have to do other tasks, and it can lead to quitting. In conclusion, the more governments take measures in terms of smoking bans in public places and offices, the healthier people will be.
