In some countries an increasing number of people are suffering from health problem as a result of eating too much fast food. It is therefore necessary for governments to impose a higher tax on this kind of food.

Nowadays, most people are suffering serious illnesses due to eating unhealthy foods. This essay will discuss the advantage and disadvantage for this issue. Here in the Philippines, many people tempt to buy food in the fast food chains since it is the easiest, affordable for the cheap prices and convenient especially for the people who are working and don’t have time to cook for their meals. Ordering food in a restaurant is easy for just one click in the grab or food panda applications, and about 30 minutes to 1 hour, the food is ready to deliver. However, this kind of food is dangerous to our health. We don’t know on how the food is being served, or if the employees are following the health protocols. This kind of food is not advisable especially for the young ones, so, the government needs to take an action or measurements about this by imposing a higher tax on the snacks, as well as the owner of the food chains. So what can we do to curb down this unhealthy habit of fast foodstuff eating trend? Well, the government can intervene causing an end to this trend provided that they take some serious steps. For, example if the government limits the fast-food chains opening and closing time only for lunch hours, it would limit the junk intake. Additionally, another option is by imposing higher taxes on the snacks for the consumers as well as for the owners of the food chains. As it would force people to consume fewer of these unhealthy snacks. In summary, eating unhealthy food can harm our health. So, as an individual, we need to eat balanced diet such as vegetable, fish, and meat.
