How do you apply the knowledge, skill g1lBO
When I return home from study abroad, I give a promise that I will try my best to do every thing that I can do to make progresses to my country. I will use the newly gained knowledge and experiences to develop Lao in line with the nation and international policies to lift Lao out of the least developed country. In my view, to make the promise be true I must have following commitments:
Firstly, I must have a self-development continuously. I think that Self-development will lead me to be successful in my career so I will continue to develop myself to assure that I can be a smart teacher to my students, colleagues, and institute. The more I learn, the more I will understand the lessons I will learn in Japan. Japan is a successful country in developing country especially human resource development. Hence, the knowledge and experiences I will learned in Japan will be very useful to the country. Anyway, I would not forget to develop myself continuously to upgrade my gained knowledge and experiences. Since deep understanding in what we learnedis a factorto create self-confidence intransferring it to others.
Secondly, I must have a colleague-development in the institute. I think that whenever I clearly and deeply understand in what I learned, the teaching others to know as I know is the second order that I should do to make the promise I gave above be true. As the Buddha’s direction, after he got enlightened, he propagated the teachings to his disciplines. The studied knowledge and experiences will be less benefits if it is not taught to others. So I will have the colleague-development through any kinds of training projects. I want to say that I will write training projects relating to the research findings and the gained knowledge and experiences I obtained in Japan during my study. Anyway, those projects must be relevant with the research findings, the Lao teachers’ needs, and the policies of the Party to help and to lift Lao out of the least develop country.
Lastly, I must have a team-development in the institute. The team is a factor that I give an importance. As Senge (2006) mentions that the good team can lead organizations to be successful. Hence, it is necessary to create team in working to train teachers in the institute. I will ask my friends who are experts in the related fields to share the knowledge with and to help me to develop teachers in the institute together so that we could influence them to have more knowledge and experiences as we have. However, I think that to do as the commitments I mentioned above I will face some challenges such as: budgets, administrative supports, and colleagues’ cooperation and participation. Anyway, I want to conclude that the gained knowledge and experiences I will obtain through the study program will be very useful to me and my country because Japan is a successful country in developing education.
