Elias's experience on the Titanic

I was childish and stupid. I never knew why they wanted my sisters more than they wanted me until I grew older. I never really understood why my mother and older sisters left a couple years before us but I'm glad they did. Maturing made me realise how endangered they were and the Titanic helped them escape not their country but the constant suffering they went through. I remember walking through the crowds of people on the wooden dock. I stared at her shiny black exterior in amazement. I'd never seen something quite this big in my life. It was a foggy winter morning and windy was the weather. The sky was so hazy and dull I couldn't identify anything in the distance. Beams of sunlight peeked through the pall of mist above me. The unsinkable ship glistened in the sun and bracing cold wind whistled.
