During the last century, the use of cars has increased dramatically. This has caused problems such as pollution and overcrowded roads. Why do people buy cars and what can we do to stop people from buying them? 0m3W3
Over the years, the number of vehicles on the roads has been increased considerably, while generating environmental issues such as heavy traffic, and air and sound pollution. People tend to purchase vehicles because of different reasons, which is going to discuss in this essay while suggesting ways to reduce it. Firstly, it is worth identifying the reasons behind buying vehicles. This happens mainly due to poor transportation. When transportation facilities are underdeveloped, it is extremely hard for people to reach their destinations. Especially, workers have to be punctual when they go to work. If the availability of trains and buses is less, they tend to buy cars. On the other hand, even though public transportation is available, if the government is unable to cater to the demand there will be an unbearable crowd inside of the vehicles. As a consequence, the sales of cars will be increased. As can be seen, they are also concerned about their comfort. This is another reason to have an automobile. However, buying vehicles can be discouraged by government involvement. First of all, they must improve government transportation. Adding more coaches and engines to the railway department is the best way as it can carry passengers in one term. Similarly, they can increase the number of buses on the road which will help to decline the number of passengers in a bus during office hours. Additionally, the government can impose more tax when importing vehicles. Then the citizens who think about personal comfort may unable to access a car. For an instance, if a vehicle is unaffordable for users' budget, they will eventually they will use whatever transportation method is affordable for them. In conclusion, traffic congestion and environmental pollution have been risen because of the growth of personal vehicles. People urge to buy their own one due to inadequate facilities and for their comfort. If rulers decide to improve the roads and railways, and booste vehicle prices, people move with public transport.
