DETERMINATION OF ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE CRITERIA IN RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS ACCORDING TO NATIONAL REGULATION

DETERMINATION OF ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE CRITERIA IN RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS ACCORDING TO NATIONAL REGULATION OnVok
1. INTRODUCTION Today, the development of technology has made it necessary to provide the most appropriate physical environmental conditions in the buildings, thermal insulation, lighting, ventilation, as well as providing comfort in acoustic performance due to the increasing comfort level required by the users. Spaces that people need, with acoustic comfort; It can be achieved by building appropriate structures during the design phase and by finding solutions to acoustic problems that will affect people's health and activities negatively and affect working performance. Residential buildings are one of the living spaces that should be comfortable for the users to spend most of their lives. Housing construction systems have also changed after the development of technology and changes in needs. It has become more difficult to provide noise control due to the building elements getting lighter over time. With the development of technology, the variety of noise has increased with the increase in the number of electrical appliances used in houses, and the control of the noise has become much more important. For this reason, in order to create an auditoryly comfortable environment at the design stage, the noise considered as unwanted sound should be removed from the structure or controlled. Criteria related to environmental noise, background noise of volumes and insulation of building elements in regulations of various countries in order to provide the necessary acoustic environment in residential buildings; It is explained with reference to the indicators and terms of international standards. In this context, ISO Standards and European Standards (EN) are widely used international standards. Also in our country, noise control has recently gained importance and was published on 31 May 2017; With the amendment made on May 31, 2018, the "Regulation On The Protection Of Buildings Against Noise" entered into force (Yönetmelik, 2018). The values specified in the regulation were created within the scope of COST Action TU0901 (2014) study, which was prepared for residential buildings with the topic "Integration and harmonization of sound insulation issues for sustainable urban buildings". This study covers a wide area by including the sound insulation of the house facade and the sound insulation of the dividers separating the house from other volumes. With the " Regulation On The Protection Of Buildings Against Noise ", which entered into force in our country, it is aimed to provide acoustic comfort by making it necessary to meet acoustic criteria in many building types such as residential buildings. Defined limit values are established within the framework of acoustic performance classes from A to F. The minimum acoustic performance class to be achieved is determined as C for new buildings and D for existing buildings. Various measurement values and standards are defined in the regulation in order to meet these performance class conditions.
