Competition for the same jobs

People of all ages have to struggle hard in order to survive decently in this ever-changing world. Hence, a lot of aged population in the job market have become rivals to the new generation of young people for the same job positions. I would like to explain that overpopulation, poor economy and fewer job opportunities cause this competition, and then suggest some possible solutions for them. There are several reasons that can be attributed to escalating the competition between young and old people. Firstly, an overflowing population can cause this issue because the authorities cannot provide jobs for everyone in some developing countries. As a result, the unemployment rate is rising, and more individuals are becoming jobless every day. In addition, advancement in technology is a tough challenge for old employees, while on the flip side, it is found to be simple and easy for the younger generation. For instance, companies prefer to recruit young people who are tech-savvy, whereas old people find it difficult to learn modern technologies, which definitely causes a rivalry between the aged employees and the younger ones. The authorities and companies can mitigate this problem together by creating more job opportunities for all the people and extending the career category for the employees according to their age group and skills. Another factor that can contribute to this problem is fragile economy. Some elderly people are unable to stay at home peacefully owing to financial difficulty. For instance, some poor elderly people in our country have to work hard to pay for unexpected health issues and housing costs because of the highest inflation rate in this revolution. In order to solve this issue, governments should provide retirement programs, affordable health insurance, and tax deductions for the aged people. If the elderlies do not need to worry about their future, they can leave their jobs and spend more time with their family members. By this way, the competition between the aged laborers and the youths can be reduced. To conclude, young and old workers play an equally important role in every work. The competition between both age groups for the same jobs can be more intense, but some steps at the government and individual level can help lessen the severity of the situation.
