Learning a foreign language is becoming sorely common in this decade, consequently, people might think the reason for that is just for travel and work. This essay will discuss why people actually learning a new language and why it is not only related to employment. Obviously, the world becomes smaller and more accessible with technological improvements such as video calls, fast trains, and flight choices everywhere. Anyone can be everywhere without their actual presence. All these superior things happen but communication by humans with words is still obligatory. To illustrate, a fifteen years old young in Japan can contact with his peers in Belgium in a video game, both are not English speakers, on the contrary, they became friends by speaking abilities. Social media, video games, and chat rooms examples can be expanded. On the other hand, migration is keeping other important parts of these reasons of why people learn another language. In today’s world, every human being can easily reach opportunities in various parts of the continent. As a result, people want to take advantage of these opportunities and want to immigrate there. Not only for reasonable changes but also for wars and economic conditions make communities to leave their home country and start to live in another one. In this regard, some countries apply their own exam to pass for taking a residence permit. In conclusion, travel and work can be linked by all these reasons, however, what makes people to gain that is being able to communicate and take benefit of their life.
