Some might say that children raised in low-income families are better prepared for financial challenges in their adulthood. But I disagree with this opinion due to the fact, that adolescents who have wealthier background have more knowledge and experience in handling money.
While it may be useful for youngsters to face finacial challenges which can result in them being more experienced in that area, constant worry and anxiety over having to have your ends meet in early years of life can also cause harm to children’s mental well-being. It could even end in them turning to crime, for example, because of their desperate mentality.
On the other hand, a kid who’s always worried about his financial problems is less likely to take higher risks to make more money, like investing in stocks, than the child coming from financially stable household. Although wealthy parents may spoil their children by giving them whatever they wish for, they can also teach their kids on how to handle money properly. I think it’s best to learn from someone more experienced with finances, like parents, than it is to face economical problems all by oneself.
In conclusion, I believe children who are raised by wealthy parents learn more on how to handle problems of adulthood than those who have low or middle income background, because the last ones experience more anxiety making them less likely to be calm and collected when facing adult life challenges.
