A future car worth waiting for

A future car worth waiting for xPjAw
Introduction Today, automobile manufacturers all run non-stop to make the latest technology with the cheapest price on their products. Specifically, their top criteria are some features such as safety with incidents, driving feelings, integrated technology in the vehicle. . . To possible discuss just technology, this paper is going to ignore the price and just underline some of the famous technologies which almost all users would like to own in their car. Therefore, the outline follows as listing technologies one by one and then illustrating how wonderful and essential it is. Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) Try imagining you are approaching the red light crossroads and the front car has stopped. However, due to not paying attention, you continue to move the car and collide. With new "communicating" technology called Vehicle to Vehicle, the front car will transmit signals to your car. After receiving the signal, your car will react by giving collision alerts through both images and sounds and automatically removing to avoid crashing. This technology is being researched and developed by car manufacturers such as Ford to minimize unworthy collisions on the road. Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) technology uses wireless signals to transmit and receive location information, speed and moving directions between vehicles together. According to the study by the US National Traffic Safety Agency (2014), if successful, V2V could minimize 79% of collisions on the road while changing the way of controlling the means of people and advanced safety when travelling by car. Automatic car driving The idea of self-driving cars is not new. Many films used this idea and, in fact, there were cars with self-parking capabilities in position. In California and Nevada, Google engineers tested automatic driving cars with a total distance of up to 321, 860 km. Google cars can not only record images on the go but can also read the sea directions, find a shorter line and detect signal lights before the driver can see. By using lasers, radar and camera systems, cars can analyze and process information around the vehicle. Auto-drive cars can make traffic safer when there is no need for a driver who is the main cause of accidents. The car’s body panels serve as a battery As expected, by 2040, half of the newly produced vehicles will be hybrid vehicles. This is good news with environmental protection, but there is a problem with the hybrid system that is quite bulky. Even equipped with advanced lithium-ion batteries, the weight does not decrease much. That's when the idea of energy-stored car stem plates was born. In Europe, a group of 9 car manufacturers are cooperating with research and testing of breadboards with energy storage and faster charging than today's batteries. They made these platforms of polymer and carbon plastic fibers. They are hard enough to cover the car and also be small enough to cast into a plate. By using these tiles, the weight of the vehicle can decrease by 15%. These panels can be charged via power plug directly or by energy storage technology when braking or sloping. Using this technology not only reduces the size of the battery but also reduces the amount of energy consumed because of the weight of the battery block. Toyota Japanese automaker is also studying similar works but with a step further than directly charging via solar energy. Whether storing or loading energy, car manufacturers are looking for ways to reduce weight and fuel consumption for their vehicles. Real-time information chart screen Remember about the film "Iron man" or some other fantasy science films when a robot looks into and automatically displays information about a person or a certain object? Augmented Reality Technology (AR) also works similarly to the driver. BMW has applied information to display information on windshields in some of its models. German automaker is also developing AR technology capable of identifying objects in front of the car and for the driver to know the distance between the car and the object. AR will show the general information about the object on the windshield right in front of the driver. For example, if you are approaching a car other than fast speed, a red box will appear on the windshield, coinciding with the position of the front car, then an instruction arrow and lane Besides will show up on the windshield to help you know how the lane is moved. This technology can also apply to technicians to repair vehicles. They will equip the technicians with AR glasses when looking at the engine, the engine information, the parts, and the implementation steps will be displayed on the glass. Toyota company applies AR technology to passengers to help them identify the information and distance of objects outside the car. The car will be equipped with a touch window for passengers to perform these operations. Airbag helps stop the car Since the airbag is equipped with cars, they still exist, which is an indispensable safety. Currently, there are many types of airbags such as curtain airbags, side airbags, knee airbags, safety belts. May not be all kinds of airbags. And now Mercedes is studying a type of airbag transferred from securely dynamic airbags to active safety airbags. Mercedes is testing airbags deployed from below the car to stop the car before the collision. Airbags combined with collision sensors are part of the overall active safety system. These airbags cover the fiction class to help the vehicle reduce the speed and can double the car resistance. The bag also helps to lift the car to about 8cm, helping to resist the hard movement of the car when the brake is folded. The wheel contact card with the road surface prevents passengers from the safety belt when colliding. The invention of this safety technology has the potential for future development. Although Mercedes has studied this technology for several years, it has not yet had any production models announced, and afraid that in a few years it is difficult to see the car equipped with an active airbag moving on the street. With the current development of airbag technology and its popularity in the automotive industry, it will not be too difficult to imagine future cars with airbags, not only to protect other actions but also to protect the whole car. And this is truly one of the five new technologies with high development opportunities in the future. References US National Traffic Safety Agency (2014).
