3. Should a city try to preserve its old, historic buildings or destroy them and replace them with modern buildings? Give your opinion

The discussion of ancient buildings is surely the one that begs the question of exactly whether we should protect it or demolish it then build a new one. A great number of rationales are being discussed by experts in favour of destroying historic architectures. Nevertheless, I support the former notion because, it keeps our culture and history alive also it will be financially helpful. One clear fact is that by conserving and renovating the architectural ruins helps us to revive the culture of the land. This means, the new generation people especially children can learn and appreciate history and background of the architecture also can get inspired from them. For instance, India as several pre historic temples and monuments which will say a lot about the king, engineering and advanced technology used to build it. Hence, more the ancient structure, more culturally rooted society. Furthermore, in this contemporary day and era old architectural marvels can also be used as a source of income. To elaborate, the government can renovate these buildings and convert it into tourist spots. For example, a palace in Mysore built by Vijayanagara empire is now being used as tourist attraction and a lot of public come to appreciate the monument from all around the word. This not only results in improving the income of that state but also help local businesses to grow. To sum up, demolishing the old structures or not is controversial. Nonetheless, I stand firm with my opinion that these architectures should be preserved because, it can teach the present people about the history and culture of the place also it is economically beneficial.
