The real dark on the Dark Waters movie
The real dark on the Dark Waters movie go6dd
Is there someone willing to lose everything for its own community? Is there in this
world someone that is ready to risk its work, its family, and its own life for the
commonwealth of a community, or even all the world? Well, the 2019 film based on
real facts “Dark Waters” show us yes, starred by Mark Ruffalo and Anne
Hathaway, the film is about two hours and 6 minutes, directed by the wonderful
Todd Haynes, the movie has been well received and even it has no gained awards
of the size of the Oscars or the Emmys, it has been nominated for other kind of
prizes, like the satellite awards, for best drama actor and for best adapted script,
this amazing movie follows the story of Robert Billot interpreted by Mark Ruffalo
who will do everything for nothing but the truth to come out.
The story begins with Robert Billot working on its lawyer’s firm that defends many
chemical companies from demands on the common people, what Robert doesn’t
wait is a farmer that gets to its office, asking for help from a good lawyer, for in that
order of ideas demanding one of the greatest companies its firm defends “Dupont”
and the fact of deciding to help that farmer changes all his life, but at first Robert
doesn’t believe that farmer, so he decides to visit he and his grandma on the old
town of Parkersburg on West Virginia, there he finds out horrible death animals,
the farmer affirms that the creek has been contaminated with many chemicals from
Dupont.
Based on this peculiar case the story starts to evolve, with what Robert thought
that one routine demand to wastes management in DuPont ends up with many the
discovery of many horrible things people suffers from due to this chemicals, for the
story to follow, with collective demands, people dying for cancerous illnesses or
other sicknesses, a lonely lawyer trying to convince all its firm to help him to
demand this company, but at the end it would be just a lawyer against one of the
biggest chemical companies of all the times, and he would not doubt on using all
his force, all his power, risk his marriage, his life, his family and his work, and that
it’s the price of the truth to come out.
This wonderful film as it is a real-life film ends up as every good movie with our
good friend Robert fighting in a court searching justice for all the affected, for them
to receive their money for all the crimes DuPont committed against them, and cuts
up with the facts, the facts of what happened with that company that was secretly
poisoning a town, with the lawyer that fought for nothing but justice and truth and
what happened with the affected community.
No matter what this lawyer will find the way to justice for the common people, and
for the people on the top of the economics tower get all the profit, but why? Why de
we always worry on money but not on people, if since the beginning of history,
we’ve been social animals, in the early beginning of human history we were social
animals, we lived in community, and we worried for each other, but since
industrialization and capitalism beginning we started to worry only in profit, but in
my opinion this lawyer takes out all of this from its mind and becomes again one of
those early humans that lives to and for its community risking all of its life, showing
us that in all these dark waters there is always light.
Many people would say this is just another real-life movie that shows with actors
what happened in the real life, but for me this movie is much more deeper than
what it shows in the screen, for me there is one element on this movie that goes
further than what you can see or that can be shown on a screen, there is
something behind each character and all goes from the perspective of the lawyer
Robert.
Behind this lawyer I see more than a person that is trying to get wealth by
demanding one of the greatest chemical companies on the US, I see a person that
for the first time in this decade is really trying to help the people, enlights
everybody on how a good human being is, and on how we should all act. Behind
the DuPont company, I just see men who don’t care anything but to get not even a
profit just to gain all for them.
Now let’s talk on the real dark thing on dark waters, the really sad thing we can find
behind this movie is the fact that is it based on real facts, and the thing that almost
everybody on Parkersburg is not a lie, and it’s not made up of fiction, the fact that
DuPont poisoned almost all of the population on Parkersburg is not a lie and the
fact that because of having many products that help on cooking cause us to have
many toxic wastes inside of us when eating is no fiction, we are really endangered
because all this chemicals and all this rules and restrictions chemical companies
avoid always.
In my opinion this is such a good movie because, it shows a reality most of us
didn’t know, and it also shows what has been done on this, it shows us the truth
with no filter, everything comes out, we find out what many companies have been
doing for years poisoning almost everybody with many chemicals done for cooking
and that at the end is all for money, the movie has really good actors, and it is very
well produced, from its music to the type of image it uses, all the dialogues its just
amazing because it finds out how to transform a really scaring truth on a film in a
way people can understand what and why they are in danger from. It finds out how
to tell a truth from an only perspective of a lawyer that had to change all that it
knows and defends for someone he doesn’t know, to find out people is being
poisoned with in biochemical term indestructible, chemicals that can really kill us
without us knowing.
The only bad thing or thing to improve I found out is the management of the
resource of time, we are in 1999 in the movie and from that year there are many
scenes and that is good because we as audience can realize all the important
events on the movie that happened on that year, but in some years we have just
one scene what I think is kind of unnecessary, because of course there were more
things that happened on one year, or if it is just one scene just skip it, but not only
to put one scene on a year, because the audience in my opinion will feel that the
movie passes so fast, and the point of the movie is to be slow for audience have
the chance to analyze it or think and make their own conclusions to be surprised at
the end of the movie.
For me the score on this movie is about 4. 5 stars, because for me the movie is
really good teaches a reality in a way all audiences can understand and
sympathize with, the film is so deep, has a very beautiful message that audiences
over 12 or 13 can understand, but for me the management of time is not well used
and that is a very important resource on movies, but for the rest is a good fil that
deserves it’s time to see, and to analyze.
In conclusion in Dark waters anyone over 12 or 13 years would appreciate will
learn of, and will be much more critic on daily life aspects, and also would find the
values of respect and common wealth, so in my opinion the movie shows a reality
in a very good way, teaches people about the reality of their daily life, and shows
everyone who sees it that there is rally someone that is will to lose everything on
his life for common wealth.
