Nowadays, the internet has influenced many people’s lifestyles. However, some people reckoned that television is less attractive than the web. Similarly, I clinch this assertion, and I will explain why this statement is viable according to me. To begin with, the internet plays a significant role in better communication among individuals. For instance, anyone can connect with their favorite person via video call, phone call, and text messages by using various applications using the internet and it costs less expenditure. Besides, it is an information tool having tons of valuable and knowledgeable facts in merely one click, a plethora of teachers consider this mode for preparing lessons in digital form, announcing results online, distributing class schedules via e-mails, and so on. For instance, during the Covid-19 pandemic, almost every academic institution has to rely on the internet for the studies of their students and adults have the opportunity to work from home using the internet. Therefore, the internet has become a necessity for everyone in numerous ways. On the other side of the coin, it is irrefutable fact that television is the oldest discovery, which gave everyone a mode of enjoyment for few decades. These days, television is a mode of entertainment only and it is mostly preferred by parents for their younger ones to keep them busy. For example, kids always like to watch cartoons on TV screens. Consequently, it is a useful way to avoid eye irritation and other adverse effects of technology among growing children. A recent survey by Cambridge University Students shows that around 30% of children are suffering from eye sickness, migraines, and headaches by continued usage of smartphones and other gadgets and hence ended up wearing specs or lifetime medicines. In the nutshell, it is undeniable that the internet has a sharp impact on people more than television in terms of education, entertainment and knowledge. Internet is much more convenient in numerous locations. Thus, in my opinion, I completely agree that the internet is more popular than television among folks.
