As can be seen, given figures indicate the number of Korean males and females who got cosmetic surgery in 2004. In each chart, five types of surgery are represented, and women, in total, had more surgeries than men.
Comparing the charts, eyelid surgery was the most popular procedure among females, with 300, 000 cases, whereas hair transplantation was the most got cosmetic surgery by males, with only 60, 000, which was even less than surgery type liposuction, the least favorite procedure by women.
Furthermore, in 2004, the total number of cosmetic surgery cases among women was about 1, 100, 000, whereas the number of men was around 180, 000, substantially fewer cases comparing with women; hence, cosmetic surgery was significantly more common in Korean females, more than five times.
In summary, the most chosen surgery by men had very less number than women’s favorite one, so, females, overall, were more inclined to do cosmetic surgery in 2004.
