From 2002 to 2007, the number of Australian students who studied abroad was stable at around 10, 000. The students from the United States who studied in foreign universities were 30, 000 in 2002. This figure was the same till 2003. On the contrary, this figure showed a steady declined and reached at about 22, 000 by 2007. The number of American students who studied in other countries was 50, 000 in 2002. On the contrary, this figure decreased modestly and reached nearly 46, 000 by 2004.
