Many people feel violent media encourages real-life violence among young people. What do you think causes young people to behave violently?

All around the world, people are using one or the other kind of media, be it for entertainment or academic purposes. Youngsters being the largest consumers of this sector, can hence be influenced by it. Besides the influence of violent media, I also assert that parental negligence and lack of moral development are also a cause for real life violence. The development of a child, is revolved around on how well, the parents or caregivers take care of the child’s, physical as well as the psychological needs. When these needs are not fullfilled, be it a toddler or a teen, it causes a negative impact on the child causing behaviour disorders like conduct disorder, which makes the child to behave violently to get things done. Thus, parental negligence directly influences the child’s real life violent behaviour. Haphazard training of the child by caregivers can result in lack of moral development of the child. For instance, if a child is being brought up by, a couple who frequently fights, are setting up a bad example to the child by fighting with each other which may include physical harm or mental torture, which creates such a mindset in the child, that only violence is an alternative for getting things done, thus indicating that, lack of moral development can cause real life violence. Good parenting and positive reinforcement of the child can help in the development of better person. Thus, in conclusion, it can be seen that, along with the influence of violent media, parental negligence as well as lack of moral development can influence the real life violence in youngsters.
