The government plays a significant role in the development of a nation. Some people feel that the economic development should be a primary focus of the government while others contend that there are other financial weaker people government should be focus on. I will emphasize both views in the upcoming paragraphs. To embark on, economic growth is the important aspect for the development of the country. Firstly, if the economy of a nation will be high then employment rate will be increase because companies will employ the workers when they get enough income. Secondly, economy also contributes to the improvement in the infrastructure includes, roads, railway metro system and other transportation facilities. For instance, the government in the Singapore consider the economic growth in the country and they get the money to improve the facilities on many parts. On the other hand, authority should also consider the poor people of the country to uplift them by providing better education and improving health system. In the other words, masses of the population in the developing countries are deprived of education and health services because of affordability. If individuals will be educated, then it would contribute more to the economic growth. Moreover, increase in the health system will also decline the death rate which indirectly leads to the rise in economy. For example, Covid-19 pandemic affects many wealthy nations because of poor health system consequently, countries fall down. To conclude, although authorities should prioritise to the economic growth but they should be given equal importance to the needs of poor people who also catalyse in growing economy in some ways.
