Letter to editor of international magazine editor
Letter to editor of international magazine editor b3X
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter with regards to an article published in March 2021 edition of your reputed magazine Business Traveller. The article in “Heaven on Earth” section on state of Kashmir misstates the place to be part of Pakistan and a Muslim majority state, which should be rectified on immediate basis.
The state of Kashmir is an integral part of India and considered as “Jewel Crown” by many. After reading the article published in recent edition of magazine, the writer describes the place as a Muslim majority state and reports cases of foreign nationals being ill treated by local administration. However, on a contrary, the residents of the state is amalgamation of religion and culture and have nearly 40% of Hindu population, 30% of Christians and 30% Muslims residing in harmony. Due to incorrect reporting of these facts the tourists now feel unsafe to visit the place causing an impact on entire economy which rely on tourism as major benefactor. Furthermore, the impact can also be felt by looking at steep fall of 30% in number of tourist visiting the place this month even after being considered as one of most favourable months with pleasant weather.
I would like you to take an immediate action on this issue and re-print an updated version of article with apology note in upcoming edition to mend the damage made to some extent so that the readers can read through the correct artefacts and can plan the visit to actual heaven on earth.
I look forward to hear back from you soon confirming suggested action been taken into account and worked upon.
Yours Faithfully,
Mohit Arora
