IT IS CULTURAL DIVERSITY THAT PUSHES CIVILIZATION FORWARDS

In the modern age, there are numerous people who have awareness that the world is formed by a variety of cultures. And it is generally admitted that cultural diversity promotes human civilization. Whereas, some people assume that cultural differences are the direct cause of conflicts between nations. In reality, it seems true that many regional conflicts are derived from cultural differences, these may be because of the misunderstanding and the diversity in customs. But in fact, it is not true in all cases. It is easy to point out that a lot of nationality groups with different cultural backgrounds live happily together as long as no group tries to intrude on the other’s sovereignty. Marriage between nationalities can be taken as evidence for regional peace. Furthermore, cultural diversity contributes to promote the development of political and economic interest therefore, it also helps to improve the quality of human’s life. In some countries, the service industry takes a major percentage of national economies, so, if there were no cultural variety, there would be no tourism activities. This may lead to unemployment in some countries. In conclusion, whether cultural diversity is constructive or destructive. It just as different colors make our earth become more beautiful and attractive as long as people do not abuse it to inflate conflicts between races.
