In some countries the average worker is obliged to retire at the age of 50, while in others people can work until they are 65 or 70. Meanwhile, we see some politicians enjoying power well into their eighties. Clearly, there is little agreement on an appropriate retirement age. Until what age do you think people should be encouraged to remain in paid employment?

In this contemporary world, people are enjoying working facilities which vary from country to country. In some countries, employees are being retired at age 70, whereas others have no scope to continue their jobs after the age 50, which is obviously a discrimination. Another point is that political persons keep continuing their activities until at the end of their ages. In this essay, I will outline the issue and will try to reach in a point regarding the age restriction in paid employment. Putting limit into age, without considering health-related issues is not a sensible decision what is being legislated nowadays. For example, working capability depends on enormous issues such as mentality, physical fitness, family needs, nature of job, and so on. Moreover, the most considering factor is the willingness which is essential for anyone who intends to continue his work. In this case, employers should provide age limit by considering of these factors, otherwise it will not perform perfectly, which might, in turn, cause severe distress among general people. Many people opine that there should be certain age restriction, which will eventually create employment opportunities among unemployed people. For instance, political persons frequently hold their power until at the end of their ages which is really detrimental for our society due to practising it illegaly despite of not having capability. After discussing the pertinent points related to the issue, the logical point is that, even though unemployed workers are increasing alarmly, imposing age restriction considering many factors will be the preferrable which will make our lives much better.
