Some consider that parents ought to urge their mature children to move away from their home as early as possible. Their opponents, however, argue that youngsters should be allowed to live with their family on condition that they wish. Although there exist strong arguments on both of these sides, I personally feel that the former view is far more sensible

Some consider that parents ought to urge their mature children to move away from their home as early as possible. Their opponents, however, argue that youngsters should be allowed to live with their family on condition that they wish. Although there exist strong arguments on both of these sides, I personally feel that the former view is far more sensible. From one angle, allowing young people to stay together with their parents can protect them some challenges. As most teenagers are incapable of adopting new difficulties, they may encounter financial and emotional problems. Due to lack of life experience, they may not able to find ways to make a living which results in depression consequently. On top of this, some of them may turn into bad companies by committing crimes to owing to non-existant of parental control. However, along with their family, such unfortunate scenarios would definitely be avoided. From another angle, I believe that young people who are obliged to live independently stand at a better chance to be a successful adult. Admittedly, problems, such as accomodation bills, income and others alike, faced on a daily basis is a normal part of adult life. Exposing youngsters to such difficulties can certainly serve beneficially to them because they will develop a number of survival qualities including persistance, will-power and responsibility. For example, young adults are made to leave their house at their 18 so as to become independent in majority of Western cultures. As a result, they possess far higher levels of confidence and independance compared to their peers in Asia where such a practise are very rare. To conclude, the idea of giving a chance for a child to live at home for long prolonged periods might make sense to some extent. Nevertheless, I believe doing the opposite and making them to live independently is more effective way of nurturing them.
