Many people now undertake extreme activities, from hang-gliding to mountain climbing. Why do people risk their lives in this way, and do you think this is a good trend? Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In the contemporary era, it has been observed that dangerous activities like hand-gliding and mountain climbing are undertaken by number of people. This essay will discuss why these individuals are inclined towards putting their life in such risky situations, as well as proves, why this is not a positive trend.
To begin with, there are numerous reasons for this phenomenon, which include enthusiasm for exploration and proving themselves to be brave by the those who are indulge in these activities. For further explanation, these people have the quest to do something innovative regardless of any challenge involved in it. Consequently, this involvement makes them feel to prove in front of others that they are brave enough to take any opportunity to try something new and extraordinary all the time. Therefore, this tendency instils in them to great extent to take any unusual risk.
Moving further, whether to call it negative or positive practice, I tend to think that there is nothing fruitful related to it. What I mean here, by indulging in these dangerous sports, one is always likely to lose life and other resources, where in the latter life there will nothing but resentment. For example, a recent survey conducted by University of sunshine coast revealed that almost 20% people are dying in Australia every year because of taking part in dangerous sports.
In conclusion, there is no denying the fact that although, these sports are pursued in terms of having thrilling experience and maintaining the image as strong personality in the society, I still do not recommend them as life is highly valued and nothing should be prioritise over it. Since considering the detrimental nature of these sports, government should take stringent action to curb them
