Some believe that history has little to teach us about today while others think that study of the past help us understand the present discussed both views and give you own opinion

Some individuals believe that study events in the past can provide us a greater understanding of the present circumstance. Others, however, disagree with this statement. In this essay, I will discuss both views. To begin with, each historical event has various perspectives, for instance, World War 2 which has many regions are getting involved in this situation so history was possibly presented only one side which means the event can also be interpreted in a different way resulting in what people learn is become less valuable. Furthermore, most people memories dates, names, and facts when they study such matters. This practice is not useful in daily life or the era of globalization. On top of that, it is apparent that people who live in the fast lane seem not interested in history as they think that this subject is just the past which is rarely used in people’s lives, hence, it would be better to focus on science or technology that is relevant to their professions. On the other hand, learning such event had broadened knowledge as there are enormous experiences occurred in the past. The Holocaust, for example, it is essential matter for both people in the old era, present and to the following period to never forget traumatic event in order to honor the memory of those lost. As a result, the same mistakes would not be made again. Additionally, history helps the young people get an in-depth understand of what the ancestor experienced and did in the past, how their country has evolved. According to these, learners will value and maintain in what historical stories given, they would learn from the past context to ensure that their society would not repeat in an adverse situation again. Therefore, I suggest that studying past events is vital which can enlighten people in positive ways. In conclusion, to educate students on the historical subject has both pros and cons, while my opinion on this argument is, all of us should know the past of our ancestors to create a more sustainable prospect.
