Influence of human beings on ecosystem is leading to the extinction of species and loss of biodiversity. Why ? Solution ?

Despite the importance of biodiversity, human activities caused negative impacts on the nature. This issue can be attributed to a whole host of reasons and some feasible solution should be taken into account. The two main causes of species’ extinction and loss of biodiversity are the change in natural habitat and the over-exploitation of natural resources. Firstly, when humans tend to artificially transform the natural environment for the sake of their own profits, thay destroy vegetation and animal’s habitats. For example, to build new road, people cut down the tree, cement the soil, which alter the ecosystem. Because of that, many creatures die out. Besides, when activities related to exploiting a natural resource are too harsh in a particular areas, the resources become exhausted. For instance, the frequent fishing can prevent them from having time to reproduce and make them disappear. Therefore, human activities often deplete the local flora and fauna and cause loss of biodiversity. Some feasible solutions to this problem are protecting natural area and promoting awareness among people. Most people are not fully conscious of the importance of ecosystem, so heightening public awareness of environment is essential. Also, the government should come out strict policies to punish illegal exploitation. In these ways, people will more care about environment and will not destroy natural resources. In conclusion, human activities that change the environment have many negative impacts on the world’s ecosystem. Consequently, we should protect our nature by concrete actions.
