When my husband decided to move to Denmark, I taught it will be a completely disaster for me. I haven’t known the language, I knew no friend there and I was terrified by the idea to leave my family. However, if turn out as the best decision we made.
On my first year in Denmark, I had my first child. Although it is hard to raise a child by your own, having no help from family, it was the most significant year for me. I learned a lot about myself. For example, how to better control my feeling and be more patient. I met other mothers and had a wonderful maternity leave.
After a year, while my daughter has started in a daycare, I was able to take Danish courses. All my life I have difficulties with languages, thus I was stunned to learn Danish so fast. Moreover, I met other people in the same situation. We shared the same problems, and got advices from each other. As a result, we became good friends.
I have no doubt that life in Denmark is better for my family. We are enjoying more peaceful life both mentally and economically. We were able to buy an apartment in the suburbs, so we are surrounded with nature. We have good health services, which provided a wonderful experience while giving birth.
