There are two poles for the argument of modern world impacting on people one states that they are getting dependent on each other, while the other argues that they became independent from everyone.
On one hand, which is in the version of dependent lifestyle, the emotions and sentiments play a predominant role for a person to be dependent on the other as they are somehow connected through a relation. Also one needs the emotional support to sustain and survive in this civilized era of living. It is not sure that an individual by himself understands this style of living where everything is done online and less spots that can teach him the survival techniques to stick here. It is also sure that dependent life style is adopted because of the growing concern towards safety. One needs the other either a life-partner or just a living companion to satisfy their physical and mental needs.
On the other hand, Individuality of this era has led to the practice of independent living. Availability of everything both online and offline has brought a change in people mindset for opting to this trend. Women empowerment has brought a drastic change in the society by providing equal employment opportunities to all, irrespective of their gender. To exemplify, a person who is lack of resources can make reserves for himself by entering the digital world of networking. In my perception, this modern way of life is actually affecting people by disposing negative effects on them.
To conclude, the emergence of technology has brought up many options of living styles. However, it is undeniable that independent living may convert people to become materialistic and dependent living sums up emotions in people which can bind up a society to be stronger. It is one’s own choice to switch between both although each life style has its own advantages and disadvantages.
