The first chart illustrate number of honey-bee colonies in millions between the year 1970 and 2010 in the US. The second bar graph demonstrate number of produced honey in tonnes at the same period in the US. Overall, it can be seen clearly from charts both number of honey-bee colonies and honey production increased similarly, except the year 1980. 4 millions honey bee produced 130. 000 tonnes honey in 1970. Although amount of honey-bee colonies increased, there was a sharp decrease in the produced honey from 130. 000 to 110. 000 tonnes in 1980. There was a opposite trend in 1980 compared to previous decade. After ten years, number of honey-bee colonies showed that decrease to 3. 5 millions while there was rise 10. 000 tonnes in the honey production. Number of honey-bee colonies continued drop from over 2. 5 millions to about 1. 75 millions in the year 2000 and 2010 respectively. 100. 000 tonnes honey produced in 2000 whereas 70. 000 tonnes honey produced in 2010 with the least number of honey production in all the given 40 years.
