The graph describes how number of cases of whooping cough changed in Britain from 1940 to 1990 and usage and effect of vaccine for the disease. It can be clearly seen that the disease declined as percentage of using vaccine inclined. Overall, peak of cases is about 170000 and it went to almost zero intime. However, there were various fluctuating in the trend such as just after 1940 number of cases rapidly increased and reached its peak. Although, figure shows it peaked again in the early 1950s and fluctuated until mid of 1960s. It can be explained by introduction of vaccine. After introduction of vaccine 81 percent of sicks used vaccine and it helped to rapidly decrease in disease. From early 1970s to late 1970s number of diseases was inclining as usage of vaccine was declined. After these years usage of vaccine rapidly increased and it will be peaking in 2010 with 94 percent.
