The line graph illustrates the average carbon dioxide footprints in metric tonnes of whom living in four countries namely, the UK, Sweden, Portugal, and Italy in the interval of 1967 to 2007. First of all, people of the UK had the highest emission which was almost 11 metric tonnes in 1967 whereas, it was almost the one-tenth of this value for a person who lived in Portugal that time. However it gradually decreased in UK and reached to 9 metric tonnes by 2007. In contrast, Portugal experienced an ascent and became five folds of its initial value, one million metric tonnes, in 1997. Afterward, a plateau is seen at 5 metric tonnes and this stability did not quite change between 1997 and 2007. Another thing that catches one’s eyes is that emmision amount of Sweden drastically sky-rocketed for the next ten years after 1967. 2 million metric tonnes increase, starting from 8, can be observed in the mentioned following years. However, the carbondioxide amount that an average person omitted plummeted to a value which was slightly lower than 6 metric tonnes in 2007. In comparison, the footprint was approximately 4 metric tonnes in Italy in 1967 but instead of the decrease, the average emission slowly soared. Therefore, it became equal with Sweden in 1987 and even surpassed it by reaching up to almost 8 millions.
