The graph illustrates gender vise percentage of academic staffs in a major university around the faculties it have in 2012. From the bar graph it is clear that the percentage of male staff members was dominating in the year of 2012.
Male staffs have significant upper hand in engineering division itself, above 80 percentages of staffs are male. This dominance is visible in other major subjects like business, law and science divisions because the percentages of male staffs are above 50 percentages in these subjects. The vulnerable subjects of male staffs are likely to be arts and education. There is only merely above 20 percentage of staff members as male in it.
Female staffs are much lesser in percentage compared to male staffs. But they have more than 60 percentage staff occupancy in education as well as above 50 percentage in arts. The only stream where there is a equality in staffs are in medicine, eventhough the female staffs are slightly higher than the other there are no major difference like other subjects.
